ANNUAL COORDINATORS’ APPRECIATION PICNIC
The Annual Coordinators’ Appreciation Picnic was held on September 13 at Moorefield Family Park. This is a time for the IHN staff to treat the coordinators and thank them for their willingness to serve.
Our church coordinators are the heart of IHN. In the past, they served our guests by setting up beds and organizing volunteers at their individual churches to prepare meals and stay overnight. Because the guests now stay at Norm’s Place overnight, the coordinators’ role has changed to organizing the evening meals, bringing them to the shelter and spending time with guests. Some have volunteers who set up games for both adults and children.
A picnic meal and thank you seems an inadequate expression of our thanks for all that these willing volunteers do for us.
