OPEN HOUSE HELD JULY 27, 2008

In celebration of the grand opening of our fully furnished bedrooms, IHN held an open house for the community on Sunday, July 27. 

Many comments were made that “this is not what is expected when one thinks of a shelter”.   It is comfortable, clean, safe, and each family is housed in a bedroom of their own.   Those with small children have made their rooms “their own” by adding books and toys.  It is especially important that the children feel secure during an otherwise turbulent time in their lives. 

The staff of IHN is grateful to the church coordinators who provided refreshments for this event and talked with the visitors making them feel welcome.  The volunteers who provided guided tours of the building did a great job explaining the services offered.
